Cheers to 27 Years!!

Cheers to 27 years!! THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes!! It means the world to me. It has been one of the greatest & most difficult years of my life. I learned everything is temporary. Moments. Feelings. People. Pets. Flowers. I learned love is about giving - everything - letting it hurt. I learned vulnerability is always the right choice because is is easy to be cold in a world that makes it difficult to remain soft. I learned all things comes in two’s : life & death, pain & joy, sugar & salt, sunrises & sunsets, me & you. It is the balance of the universe. It has been the year of hurting so bad, but living good, making friends out of strangers, making strangers out of friends....thank you for another amazing year.  I LOVE YOU ALL!! I can’t wait to see what year 27 brings.

goodbye year 26....

This year taught me....

That life can be kind even when the world is cruel. That it isn't something I have to be perfect for all the time, that there are things out of my control all the time.  This year taught me that life can be soft even with rough edges and being all over messy.  Life taught me that circumstances and things don't just come into your life unexpectedly, that there's a purpose for every moment.  You may not feel it now, but in time you'll understand, life has a way of working out and piecing itself together. Time is never guaranteed though, so cherish every moment. Live your day to the fullest and never stop trying. Give it your all and never forget who you are in the process. You are growing every day some days or seasons may be slower than others, but oh how you are still growing amongst the seasons. You may not see it now, but give it time and trust in the process.  Have trust in yourself that you'll bloom when you are ready to and the whole process will be worth it.

[excerpt by Aim's]

This year was unbelievably diffcult and challenged me in every aspect, but it taught me so many beautiful lessons that I can carry with me for the new year.

Here's a few... Lessons This Year Taught Me:

1. Life is truly short.  We all say it and there comes a time for everyone. I lost a lot of loved ones over the years and it happened for me in 2019. There's no time like the present. There isn't anything ‘kept for best’ or ‘saved for a rainy day’ anymore like we used to. It is all used and enjoyed and appreciated, right here, right now; which is good because we should be enjoying and experiencing every moment.

2. I Still Have A Long Way To Go. Just when I think I have reached a pinnacle in my life development, I peep over the cliff and see a whole new mountain to climb. But that's okay, it really is, because now I have the tools and the skills I need, to scale them more effortlessly. I enjoy the views a whole lot more now too. They really are just worth it and a lot more beautiful.

3. You Can't Keep Everyone With You. Some of our dearest loves may have left us this year or decade– and that is the hardest lesson to learn in life. It’s not the losing so much– as the living life without them. It is like re-learning how to breathe. Likewise, we lose friends in other ways too, not to death but to the passage of time and the growing apart of personalities. It is hard to let go but imperative that we do. If they are not with you now, they were never yours to keep.

4. Mother Nature Is In Charge. This year reminded me in particular, just how powerful this planet, on which we live, is. We can plants seeds, bloom and blossom, evolve and build and progress as much as we like, but we will never control the weather. Mother Nature can show us in one swift move how fleeting and precious all life on earth is. Humbling, to say the least.

 5. Meant To Be. What's meant to be will always find its way. Always. Trust the timing and process.

6. Your Way of Thinking. Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.

7. Beautiful Things. The most beautiful things in life are not things. They are people, places, memories, pictures. They are feelings, moments, smiles and laughters.

8. Therapy. Sometimes the best therapy is a long drive and music. Sometimes you just need the bare necessities like music, art, nature, baking, etc. to get you some comfort and healing.

9. Go For It. Sometimes we have to stop being scared and just go for it. Either it'll work or it won't. That's life.

10. Some Things May Never Change. Just when we will feel like we are making progress a curveball is thrown our way and when we will feel like we are one step forward we wind backwards farther than where we were the day before, which can be truly disheartening to see things sliding back the way they came, and at the will of the people too. Just don't give up. We must never stop trying.

11. Now matter how much we worry things tend to have a way of working themselves out.  Often times we get so consumned that we forget sometimes we need to let things naturally play out and know within due time they will have a way of working things out.

12.  Good Outcomes:   Sometimes things don't always go according to plan or things change and majority of the time it seems to be out of our control, but the one thing you can control is your attitude and how you react and handle to the situations. I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason, so trust yourself and the process. Things are unfolding the way they are supposed to be written. Have faith in your journey.

13.  How Far You've Come: Never forget how far you've come.  Often we forget all the trials, obstacles, and tribulations we were faced, but we did overcome.  Even sometimes it can be the most minsiculest thing to you, but you should still acknowledge and value. You might not be where you want to be at, but nieither are you where you used to be. You're growing daily even when the rain pours and th sun shines. You've came a long way. Everything you've been through wasn't't for nothing. It shaped and made you, you. You may not see it now, but someday soon very soon you will see how it was all worth it and lead you to the place where you are at. The journey will be more than worth it. You made it this far you have so much ahead of you.

14. You are worthy:
You are worth the same love you give everyone else. You are worthy of all the happiness this world has to offer. You are worth finding, worth knowing, with loving. You + all of your million layers. You are worthy. You are enough. You are loved. You matter. You are needed. Always hold that close.

Chapter Twenty - Five  Closed

Chapter Twenty-Five can best be described in one sentence, "It didn't end as I had planned". My five year plan that I was hoping to share with my special someone all the plans, dreams, and goals had changed and redirected me to a new path. It lead me a place of a darkness where I was still and felt like I was stuck in this chaper where it kept repeating over and overmatter how hard I tried or even when I saw sun rise, somehow I wasn't able to see the next chapter ahead. This darkness just consumed me for the longest time that I lost myself along the way and forgot what made me, me. I felt like a ghost in my own body. This chapter tested me in ways, some that I didn't think I was going to be able to come back from and are probably some of the hardest things I have endured.

But in time with resilencey, patience, and fortitude I was able to take those trials and heartache and was able to grow in places where I probably would have never known I neeeded and places where I needed to work on some more. Every ounce of darkness, despair, sadness, grief, and tear that shed down my face helped unleashed an inner strength inside of me that I didn't know I was capable of and wouldn't of known until I had gone through every experience.

Every experience good, bad, and ugly was actually help preparing me, allowing me, and giving me the time an space to be able to be where I d to be. I knew that I should allow myself to grow and change because my future self is waiting. I just didn't know this is who I was intended to be and I am excited to see where the future takes me and what else it has in store. I can't wait to continue to grow and change. All while in the process of finding myself some more and hopefully attaining and reaching my full potential, so I can blossom some time in this lifetime.🌻

Chapter Twenty-Five was the year of self-discovery, growth, strength was born, and was where I planted some seeds for self-growth and happiness. I'm glad I allowed myself to grow and change in places I didn't know I needed and recouping after all the trials and heartache over the years, but it has been the best decision I have made and I'm so glad that I have decided to turn the page.

Chapter Twenty-Six will be the start of the year where the seeds begin to bloom. I can't wait for the blooming process to begin or maybe it already begun and I don't know or just can't see it yet, but I can't wait for this next chapter in my journey and looking forward to what lies ahead.☀️🌻✨

Another Journey Awaits....

I had a craniectomy last year on May 30, 2018. The surgery went okay even though there was complications during surgery and it took longer than anticipated. I was on the surgery table for 14 hours and was fighting for my life even while I was knocked out. I had two blood transfussions in the middle of surgery because I was bleeding out and they weren’t anticipating it. Now almost a year and some change, I was able to pursue a few more dreams that I had set for myself with the belief that I was a survivor and I would not have to go through any of this again. I was happy and ready to take on some new challenges and start a new chapter in my journey. Well, things like time are sadly never on our side. I was experiencing some migraines and having seizures again and I just new something was wrong deep in my gut. I didn’t want to believe this and wanted to continue to try and have a normal and happy life. So I knew that I had to go in and I just decided to go into the doctors on August 22nd and I’m glad I went in and lisetened to my gut. On August 28th, I went in for an MRI. I haven’t heard from my doctors, so I just assumed that things were okay. On September 3rd I was on my way up to start my new chapter which was accepting my dream career position of being a County Child Protective Services Social Worker. As I was heading to start this new adventure of mine; I got an unexpected phone call from my doctors about my MRI results. The phone call wasn’t what I was expecting. I wished I hadn’t picked up the phone, but I’m glad I did. I didn’t get the news I was anticipating. My doctor explained how there is abnormalities and changes within my brain. The doctors are highly concerned and are going to have my neurologist and hopefully neurosurgeon compare it to my other MRI results.  They did notice that there is a blockage in my fourth ventricle where the CSF flows and they are concerned the blockage may cause worse medical problems and etc. So, I’m waiting for an approval from my insurance to see a Neurosurgeon and Oncologist at UCSF. I hope I can go there and fight this again whatever the complications are this time around. I’m so grateful for each and everyone of you. Thank you for following and being apart of this journey with me. It truly means the world to me. I couldn’t get through last year or this year, if it wasn’t for all of you. I love and appreciate each and every one of you. Keep shining :) your light is needed and loved so much!! Thank you for sharing it and being here. Lots of love always, Aims!! Xoxo<>

Selfie in the parking lot before I entered my office for my believed dream career.✨

Let the new chapter begin.

A New Chapter Awaits.

Onto a new a chapter.

Why are goodbye’s so hard? Is it just me or do you feel like you’re never fully ready nor prepared to say goodbye? I can never seem to find the right words to say or be able to get every feeling and emotion out in time. I always wished there was more time. It is always a scary, unwanting, and sad feeling to say goodbye. Knowing that feeling, person, place, or thing will just be a memory. Which usually turns into a photo you frame to cherish or you add to your photo album to later reminisce on the good and bad times. A memory that will forever hold a place in your heart as you try and continue to move your life forward as if nothing happened. Turning the page to close the chapter and be able to start a new chapter. Scary and a bit of an unsettling feeling, but also beautiful because it allows for us to grow in a way we wouldn’t have before. It will allow you to discover yourself in a new light and lead you to a path maybe you were destined to go. You’ll grow and start to blossom where you were meant to be all along. Your roots will go with you and continue to sprout as you continue to grow and eventually blossom. Those memories, picture frames, and photo albums will always remain with you in each and every chapter throughout your life as you continue to grow and turning the pages throughout your journey. New chapter’s can often be misguided and assumed as a closed chapter or an ending; when they often can be beautiful, needed, and a chance for a new beginning.

I was faced with a goodbye last October. It was one of the hardest chapters to end especially close; to begin a new chapter without him in it this time. I’m not going to lie,  I’ve been avoiding writing this blog post because it brings up old memories, emotions, and a bit hard for me to talk about. At times, I still feel this void and like there’s a missing piece, but I know as time goes on it will get easier and this feeling will go away, but for now photo albums will do. (For my new followers that are like huh or other’s who may not know, but my significant other and I separated well brokeup after an almost five year relationship. We sort of drifted apart through this whole journey and experience). However, writing this post actually helped me more than I thought it would. It helped me close the chapter and I’m ready to start this new chapter. I can’t wait to begin my new chapter as Counselor for at risk boys. On the evening of Monday, the 20th of this month, I received and accepted a full-time position as a Counselor for at risk boys for Elite Family Systems Inc.. I start this new chapter next Tuesday (after Memorial Day) and I can’t wait to begin my training and see where this new chapter leads me into this new journey. When one door closes another opens. Let the blossoming continue. I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your constant support, unconditional love, and   unconditional motivation. I couldn’t have been able to start this new chapter without you all. Thank you times a million!!!! Keep shining and remember you’re blossoming every single day, even if it is a slow process you’ll blossom the way you’re supposed to. Love you lots!!

Here are some quotes that helped me turn the page and start the next chapter in my life. I hope these can help someone or anyone who may be feeling the same or going through something similar. Just know that you aren’t alone!!

~ "We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. The old skin has to be shed before the new one can come." -- Joseph Campbell

~ "And suddenly you just know it's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings." -- Meister Eckhart

~ "It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now." -- Hugh Laurie

~ "The only impossible journey is the one you never begin." -- Tony Robbins

~ "I am learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things not meant for me." -- A.G.

Happy Friday y’all!! 😄🌟💛

• • Here’s a Fun Fact Friday about me. . . . I love to give strangers & people compliments like I legit LOVE them!!😍💛💛 And I’m not being fake or trying to get people to like me. But, if I pass someone & I like something, I say it. “Love your shoes!” 👟 👠 or “Your hair is beautiful! 💇 💇‍♂️ or “Wow your eyes 👀 are beautiful” or “Your smile is beautiful!” 😃 . . . . why? Because life is hard & this world 🌎 can be a crappy place. . . & people can be mean. You never know how much those few words mean to someone, you never know what heck they may be going through; & when you put positivity out there into the universe YOU yourself becomes a happier person. I’m telling you random compliment giving will change your life; & maybe someone else’s too.💛 So, this weekend I’d like to challenge y’all to tell someone, anybody even a stranger a random compliment. Then, let me know how it made them feel & how it made you feel. 😄 I really think you’ll be surprised on how amazing of a feeling this is & how much of a difference this can make in someone’s life & possibly even yours.😄🌟💛💛

What’s a Fun Fact about you? Tell me in the comment section below!👇🏼😄🌟🦋🌻💛

✨Aim’s Journey: There’s something I’ve noticed recently & I thought I’d share it with you all. The past few days I’ve noticed that I’ve been comparing my progress to other’s. And it resulted me into believing & feeling like I haven’t overcame a whole lot in my life, which is WRONG!! And I FINALLY came to a realization & I wanted to let you all know that we ALL should give ourselves some credit. That we ALL have overcame things & are getting better. We ALL made it this far & we should celebrate our strengths.💪✨💛 We should ALL recognize that progress is still progress. Your speed does not matter! Forward is still forward. Your goals are individual, not universal. And just because someone’s life is progressing differently than yours, does not mean that you aren’t overcoming things, progressing, & growing. We ALL grow at different rates, so we shouldn’t have to all progress the same. We all need our own time to travel our own distance. Life isn’t a competition, but merely a journey of our strengths, battles, scars, growth, & everything in between. So if you’re feeling too hard on yourself like me right now, say this to yourself. “Don’t be so hard on yourself. Dealing with life, everyday stuff & emotions can be tough, but you’re a brave soul on a mission & YOU got this!!"💪✨💛💛 Don’t be so hard on yourself right now. You’re moving forward. You’re progressing. You’re growing. It may not be as fast as you’d like, what you expected, or where you thought you’d be, but you’re still moving forward. You’re still going somewhere. You’re still growing & changing. So, give yourself some credit today. 👏💪✨💛You deserve it! You’ve came a long way, overcame a lot, & are progressing. We should ALL be proud of our progress even if it is slow or small. We ALL are moving forward & the only thing that matters is how far we’ve come!!💪😁✨💛💛

✨“I like to garden👩‍🌾☀️💦— it is a place where I find myself when I need to lose myself.” ••

•• Lately, I haven’t been feeling like myself. Mainly because I haven’t been feeling well this past week🤕, but also because I haven’t been able to do my typical things due to lack of energy.😔 So, stepping outside today for the first time in a few days to water💦 our garden 🌸🌿🥕 was the highlight of my day & week.✨ ••

•• I’m thankful my grandpa shared with me his hobby.😭🙏👩‍🌾💛 It has definitely played a HUGE part in my life & is one of the ways I cope throughout my journey. I’m so blessed to have shared & cherished these memories with you. THANK YOU Grandpa for leaving a little piece of you with me even when you aren’t here.🙏👩‍🌾💦☀️🌻🥕💛💛 I hope I can be able to share this hobby with my own children some day. Life is sure beautiful.☀️

“We all have bad days, but one thing is true, no cloud ☁️ is so dark that the sun ☀️ can’t shine through.”⛅️✨ ••This is how I felt about the last two days. I haven’t been feeling well sadly.🤕 And I’ve been going back to these pictures📷 🌻☀️☁️💛 simply to remind myself of the beauty of smelling the sunflowers🌻 & also how it reminds me that the sun☀️ is beautiful, magical✨, & the light☀️ can shine down on you no matter what or where you are in the world🌎. The sun ☀️ always follows you. So, remind yourself that the sun☀️ can still always shine through even in your  darkest days☁️. And tomorrow is a new day, which means a fresh start.☺️☀️🌻☁️✨💛💛•• I’m hoping 🤞 the sun shines through & tomorrow is a better day for myself & you, if you need it too. 🙏☀️☁️⛅️😁🌻✨💛💛💛💛

“Your journey✨ is not the same as mine, and my journey, is not yours but if you meet me on a certain path, may we encourage each other.”💪☀️🌻✨ •• Let’s cross paths. Our journey’s in life are different, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t encourage one another. So, talk to me.☺️ I’d love to grow + blossom with you in this beautiful life together!☀️🌻🦋✨💛💛

•• Swipe 👈🏻 to see me excited about smelling the flowers🌻✨💛 + there’s a little surprise guest 🐝 & Gianni captured the moment perfectly 🙈🙄😂

Smelling the sunflowers 🌻 + a bee 🐝🙈🤣

✨💐“You need to ignore what everyone else is doing & achieving. Your life is about breaking your own limits & outgrowing yourself to live the best life. You are not in competition with anyone else. Plan to outdo your past, not other people.” Another lesson my journey✨ has taught me. We ALiL grow🌻 & progress differently in life. Life is not a finish line🏁, but simply a journey of ourselves growing throughout life to allow ourselves to blossom into the best possible version of ourselves🌻. Break those limits, grow, & be the best you! Life isn’t a competition, but merely a beautiful growth💐 of ourselves. Something we should all ponder.✨☺️🌻💐💛💛

✨ I 🐝🍁 in you! “I believe that life is a journey, often difficult and sometimes incredibly cruel, but we are ALL well equipped for it if we only tap into our talents & our gifts & allow them to blossom.”🌻 (Les Brown) ✨ ••

••Lately I’ve been feeling like my journey has taken a toll on me. I’ve been second guessing myself & letting negativity get into my head.  I told myself I would not let the negativity get the best of me, but sometimes we can’t control it. We can’t control life, other people’s thoughts, & our own negative thoughts. Negativity is constantly around us. Write 📝 those negative thoughts down & throw them away so, they don’t get the best of you. Better yet throw that negativity out the door🚪. Don’t let the negativity distract you from your goals & allowing yourself to blossom.🌻 I believe in you!!💪😁✨ We are ALL equipped & prepared for this journey!! We just need to tap into our talents, gifts, uniqueness, & remain positive. Its one of the keys 🔑 into you blossoming🌻 in life. I promise you all!! Don’t let the struggles, cruel life, & negativity stop you from allowing yourself to grow, change, & blossom!!🌻 We are ALL made for something in life whether you believe it or not. You have a purpose, are needed, & meant to be here!!😁🌎✨💛 Tap into those talents & gifts & allow yourself to blossom in this journey called life!! Its more exciting that way!! Don’t let the negativity win, prove it wrong & blossom!! I’m not perfect & am still working on not letting the negativity win. I’m currently making some new goals this month to allow myself to blossom even more. I can’t wait to share with you all!! Stay tuned!!😁☀️🌻✨💛💛

“Be who you needed when you were younger.” (July 30, 2018)

🌻Aim’s Monday Message: ✨“Be who you needed when you were younger.” The reason I chose this quote was it meant more to me than just my own personal life. I have suffered & lived through challenging times. I have experienced invalidation in my lifetime. As well as been told I was wrong in some ways or in many ways. I lived through experiences I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. But, I somehow managed to survive & I’m still here. Maybe it was to truly test how strong I am, but I believe it is much more than that. I believe I am here to tell my tale. To share my own life struggles & challenges. In hopes to share with you all that what I’ve gone through is get through-able. For the ones who are struggling or going through something similar. I’m here for you. I want to help you get through what I got through because it is possible amongst all things. There is a brighter light at the end of tunnel.✨ I want to help others who are guessing themselves as to whether or not a person like them can get through what they’re going through. I want to be the person I needed when I was younger & I want to be that person for you all too. I want to take it upon myself to remind you all that everyone matters & everything we say & do can touch & affect someone around you. That’s one of the main reasons why I chose the path of becoming a social worker. I want to put my voice out there because someone out there may need me. And I want to help others because no one deserves to go through it too! Let’s all be who we needed when we were younger.☀️🌻✨💛💛💛💛

We all deserve good things in life!! (July 29, 2018)

•✨ “There is a truth deep down inside of you that has been waiting for you to discover it, and that truth is: you deserve all good things life has to offer.” (Rhonda Byrne)✨•

• I love this quote!💛 it reminds me of my own personal life story 📖. •

• For a long time, I had this belief that no matter how hard I tried I wasn’t going to be good enough or have the ability to have a good life. I thought my past would define me, which would cause me to not have a good life. I let all of my own negative thoughts consume me & started to believe it. 😥

• I thought I didn’t deserve a good life because of my past, but I was wrong. I was able to do something I never thought was possible for a girl like me, which was going to college & be the first person in my family to graduate. I never thought for a second I could have reached this in my life; let alone achieve it. This was the point in my life where I finally believed that I can have good things in life. At times, I still find myself believing that I don’t & go back to the same negative thoughts, but when I do I ALWAYS tell myself to go back to this quote & to read it over & over again until I start to believe it.✨

•Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t have a good life especially yourself! We ALL deserve a good life! No matter where we come from, our upbringing or past. Don’t let the negative thoughts define or consume you. ✨If you ever find yourself feeling these same negative thoughts, then repeat this quote to yourself daily☀️ until you start to believe it or when these feelings start to arise. Don’t let these thoughts define you. Prove them wrong because YOU deserve ALL good things life has to offer!! WE ALL DO!! Don’t forget it beautiful people!! 😄☀️🌻✨💛💛

I’d like to let you all in on a little secret! 🤫 (July 24, 2018)

🌻I’d like to let you in on a little secret🤫 & let me be totally real & honest with you all, lately my spirit has been down. 😔 I am not always so positive, happy, & upbeat all the time (like most people think). Sometimes I have good days and other times I have bad days. I struggle with my self worth more than you can know. At times I catch myself crying 😢 randomly every now & then. I breakdown because it can just all become too much to a point that it takes a toll on me especially w/ everything currently.Life is difficult, never easy, & throws you MANY curveballs ⚾️.Fun fact:I actually struggle every day with my self worth, self esteem, & staying positive. I’m currently struggling with my flaws.Sometimes it causes me to have a bad day & break down, but THE most important thing you should know is that you are NOT alone & it is perfectly OKAY 👌🏼 to have a bad day, cry 😢, or breakdown. It’s a part of life! We are human and its okay to not be okay. 😁 “We don’t have to be positive all the time. It’s perfectly okay to feel scared, angry, annoyed, frustrated, sad or anxious. Having feelings doesn’t make you a negative person. It makes you human!!“ 😁(Lori Deschene). We should be able to have the good with the bad & the bad with the ugly. Its called balance.⚖️ That’s what life is all about...well should be.☺️☀️🦋🌻✨(Another life lesson this brain tumor journey has taught me.)✨ I hope you can all take something from this & know that it’s okay to not be positive all the time & we all have bad days. It is perfectly normal!! 😁☀️🌻💛💛 •• Because my spirit is a bit down, I stepped outside to see my FAVE flowers!! 🌻💛 “Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful, they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” (Luther Burbank). Sunflowers are my medicine for a bad day. 😁🌻 Swipe left 👈🏻 to see what I did next 🌻👃😅💛💛 •• How do you lift your spirit up when you’re down, sad or having a bad day??😊☀️🦋🌻💛

Smelling the sunflowers 🌻

Smelling the sunflowers 🌻

Sometimes smelling the sunflowers helps me to breathe & reminds me how precious life is & to live in the moment.☀️🌻✨💛💛

My whole life can be described in one sentence. (July 19, 2018)

“My entire life can be described in one ☝️ sentence: It didn’t go as planned and that’s ok.” (-Rachel Wolchin) • Another lesson this brain tumor 🧠 journey has taught me is: Nothing ever happens quickly. Nothing is ever, ever easy. Most of all nothing ever goes perfectly according to plan. Sometimes we just get dealt a bad hand🤚& sometimes we just gotta roll with the punches. 👊🏻 • Don’t get discouraged though. Life is not fair sometimes, but what we can control are our reactions & how we handle the situation. So stay positive, stay resilient, & don’t give up on yourself!! Life is just like a test. It tests your strength, courage, bravery, faith, and etc, but with it comes a chance for growth, change, many lessons, failures, mistakes, & ups & downs. Which usually helps us discover ourselves more along the way & usually winds us up leading us exactly where we need to go in life. I don’t know what my plans are for myself, but what I do know is I can’t wait to test myself & see my growth & change!! 😁✌🏼✨💛Sometimes things are supposed to happen for a reason & sometimes things don’t go perfectly as plan, but life’s a mysterious journey so go with the flow & enjoy it!! Hopefully you can leave with something from this! And never give up!! 😊☀️🌻✨💛💛

Being positive is being productive 😁💛 (July 16, 2018)

✨ “ As long as you’re being positive , you’re being productive!” - Something I told myself this afternoon (yes, afternoon 🙈) when I rolled out of bed 🛏😅. I had a late + rough start to my Monday/new week, but the first thing I told myself before I got out of bed (well after I noticed the time 😳 & panicked a bit that I was behind on my schedule & I wasn’t going to be able to get anything I wanted done) then, I reminded myself to breathe 5x in & out & said to myself, “Aimee’- it is never too late to start anything!! Life is what you make of it, go live it still.” That motivated me to get out of bed, so fast 💨 & I immediately started my day with the tasks & goals I set myself to achieve the night 🌙 before. And guess what?? 🙃 With a positive attitude & mindset I was able to achieve the tasks & goals I set for myself the night before. I don’t know if it is just me 😅, but the feeling of being productive is just something completely within itself 😁. Anyways, I am so grateful & blessed that I am able to get out of bed 🛏 every morning & to be able to accomplish my tasks & goals I set for the day or night before. Another thing I reminded myself & you should too is that, “We are all given the same hours in a day, so live them”. It is NEVER too late to start your day or better yet to start anything!! As long as we have & hold a positive attitude & mindset throughout the day we can remain productive, happy, & accomplish anything we set our mind to!! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise (especially that little annoying voice in your head 😅). We are all capable of extraordinary things. We just need to put our minds 🧠, hearts ♥️, & soul into it & you’ll be able to achieve anything. I accomplished my tasks & goals today even with a late start, so if I can do it, so can YOU!!👇🏼😁💪☀️🌻💛💛

“Shout out to EVERYONE who is still trying to heal from things they can’t bring themselves to talk about.” 💛 We ALL have our own struggles in life to bear, if not now than maybe in the near future. ✨ To anyone who’s feeling this right now, just know that it’ll be okay & that you are NOT alone!💛 We are stronger than we realize, we are brave, & among all things WE CAN do it!! 💪☺️💛 (Another beautiful lesson this journey has taught me.) I wanted to share & let you ALL know that we are NOT alone & I’m always here for you! No matter what! If you ever need to talk or someone to lean on I’m your girl! ☺️ That’s what we are here for!! Well at least we should be 😊🌻💛

✨ this quote stuck with me today....”Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you so you can become who you were meant to be in the first place. “ ~ Erica Carrico✨ •

• Sometimes all we need is just a new perspective! “If we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.” I’m starting to FINALLY realize & understand that there is more to this journey than just getting healthy or right back on track in my life. I’ve also changed with this whole process. I see life differently now, I views things differently now, & I’m more grateful than EVER! This quote could not be more TRUE!! I definitely feel like this was all meant to happen for a reason. I just don’t know it yet, but I can’t wait to see where this journey will take me next in my life!! Hopefully things will get better from here! 🙏🙏☺️🦋🌻💛 and hopefully you’ll leave with wanting to look 👀 at things with a different perspective, its actually pretty fun!! 😁☀️🌻✨💛💛

Pool Day = Relaxation

June 14, 2018

Pool + BBQ Day!!

Today was a MUCH needed day for a day of relaxation and the closest thing I could get the to the beach was my apartment complex pool, which will have to do for now haha until I’m fully cleared! Ocean waves 🌊 has been my go to for relaxing my mind, body, and spirit since brain surgery. Hopefully today sticking my feet in the pool and doing some possible light pool therapy exercises depending on my strength today goes great! I definitely don’t want to push it too hard too fast, so we’ll see how putting my feet in the pool go then go from there. I can’t wait guys! I wasn’t sure I would be able to get back to my normal life and daily activities as fast as I am, so I definitely want to keep the progress going and push my limits slowly each day. I can’t wait to show you some pool pics soon!! Also, what is a pool day without a bbq?? Today we are going to grill up some hot dogs 🌭 and hamburgers 🍔 and have some picnic snacks on the side! Totally have to make it a full pool day right!?? Pictures are soon to come guys 😁📸👙🌭🍔🌊💙 I cant wait to show up my swimsuit and sunglasses 👙🕶 duo and Gianni’s swim trunks too! 😊

Also I would LOVE to hear from you if you have or know of any bbq tips and tricks! I’d love to hear them all! 😊

Enjoying the little things in life again!!

Mini Pool Day with Gianni!!

Enjoying the little things in life again!! 😭🙏☀️👙🕶🌊🌭🍔🥗😋💙💙 I NEVER thought I’d be able to be back at doing things this soon especially right after my brain tumor surgery. I couldn’t be more grateful and blessed guys 😭🙏🙏 THE best advice I could give ANYONE through my whole journey would be, “ to enjoy the little things in life for one day you might look back and realize they were the big things.” Don’t take things for granted! We never know when our time might be, so let’s enjoy life to the fullest and not take things and life for granted while we can! Let’s live life every day! I’m trying to adjust my mindset. Something my brain tumor 🧠taught me and it is truly a beautiful message✨ I learned through my journey. I can’t wait for what other life lessons my brain tumor journey has left to teach me especially if it is anything like “enjoying the little things in life more and not taking them for granted (as cheesy 🧀 as it sounds 🎶) as well as “You don’t need money 💰 or having THE best means or stuff to not be able to still accomplish your goals ✅ or experience life” 😊🤘🏻 I’ve been waiting to check ✔️ off sooo many bucket list items off for yeaaaars 📅 and my brain tumor taught me that you can still experience life with hardly any money 💰 and still check ✔️ items and things off and be able to experience life to the fullest‼️ 🙌 ✨😊🌞🌻🌼💛💛
